Kentucky health officials are combating a Salmonella outbreak

Multiple reports of possible Salmonella illness are under investigation by the Lake Cumberland District Health Department (LCDHD) and the Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH). The local and state agencies are investigating a foodborne illness outbreak in Campbellsville, KY. By Friday, September 22, 2023, 13 cases of illness were reported. Six cases have been confirmed as salmonella, while the remaining seven are categorized as probable salmonella.
